Rigid, shocking, unusual and at the same time exciting.

This is how the young director Dmitry Akrish put his version of the work "Mother" (the first edition of Gorky's Vassa Zheleznova), boldly bringing to the forefront a person and dreams.

It's funny, what are dreams? They have each of us. And everyone strives to fulfill them.

But what happens when dreams fall to dust, when there is already no strength, no desire to go forward, when it turns out that any dream has its own price. And does happiness begin to look more like a "myth", beautiful and unattainable?

Maybe then people turn into beasts, and hungry and insatiable, able to bite anyone, just to satisfy this painful hunger and drown out the void that tears to pieces from the inside.

And who is then their first victims? Maybe those who are close? Those who need to appreciate more than their own lives. Relatives.

But, what will happen - when their blood is "poured"? Will it be possible to turn back and stop in the deafening desire of destruction and the pursuit of ephemeral happiness?
