American writer Kate DiCamillo is one of the most important storytellers of the world today. "The Amazing Journey of Edward the Rabbit" is a story about the puppet Job: a rabbit from a "decent family" loses wellbeing and comfort and passes through the ordeal, sinking deeper into the "bottom of life". He loses his face (he can do this physically), gets a new one, and again returns to the house where he was most loved. The characteristic style of this author is that the storyteller is not afraid of acute themes that are painful for the child's feelings - children's literature should not be infinitely positive.
