We laughed, without ceasing, almost both acts all the way. ⠀ In the tiny space of the stage with a minimum of scenery, the actors of BRIDGE managed to convey both the prim spirit of England of the last century and the refined elegant English humor. Over which, I confess, it was not at all subtle. ⠀ Actors playing at arm's length is a special pleasure to complete immersion in the play! They look straight at you, they say - you, and it is impossible not to believe them. And when they start dancing, you barely keep yourself in place so as not to keep them company. ⠀ What is the play, you ask? The famous Gorin note "Everyone Laugh and Cry" is literally imbued with the spirit of the classical prose of Sholom Aleichem with a unique fabric of Jewish humor and human wisdom. Also, like the world-famous story of Tevye the milkman, written by playwright Gregory Gorin in 1989.

The drama about the family and faith against the background of historical changes draws a picture of life outside the Pale of Settlement in pre-revolutionary Russia, during the period of the persecution of the Jews. Charming residents of the town of Anatowka - Russians, Jews and Ukrainians - are witnesses and participants in the popular unrest that has come to them from the "big earth". The patriarchal way of their already poor and difficult life bursts into new tragedies. "Yes, we are God's chosen people, but sometimes choose someone else" - these words of the milkman Tevye are the best they say about unbearable experiences.
