HAMLET Story - SAMIThe SAMi project (Commonwealth of Actors, Musicians and ...) does not need advertising! As soon as they announce the date of the performance, tickets are sold out in a matter of days! And the other day, on March 10, on the stage of the Svetlanov Hall in the House of Music again "HAMLET Story" Back in October, we watched this production in an unusual club version (which was realized due to the current conditions and is unlikely to be repeated) and shot a video about it! Director Natalya Semyonova, actors Alexei Kravchenko and Sergei Chonishvili tell us about modern Hamlets and the search for an answer to the eternal question.
Last Thursday my husband invited me to the theater. As always, I accepted the offer and did not look for information about the theater and the performance. Only half-heartedly, doing household chores, I listened to a brief description of the performance. Therefore, my impressions were not spoiled by my own ideas about how the theater would seem to me and what I would see on stage. About the theater: The theater is located in the back, in the courtyards at the station. Metro Belorusskaya, but we found it quickly. Outwardly, a beautiful old building. In the small hall at the entrance to the theater, there are wardrobes filled with books. This creates a feeling of warmth and comfort. There is no sense of being in a public place; rather, I felt like a welcome guest in someone's spacious house. The second room is not much larger and is also quite cozy, despite the cloakroom and buffet located in it. The auditorium is quite small compared to other theaters I have visited (with the exception of the student theater). But it is unlikely that in this hall a situation is possible in which some of the spectators cannot see something. No pillars or semicircular rows. A friendly young team of theater workers meets everywhere. In general, the impressions of the theater are the most pleasant. About the play: Even before the start of the play, I was very surprised by the original arrangement of seats in the auditorium. Many sat sideways, and some with their backs to the stage. But this was compensated by screens on all four walls of the hall, and video cameras were placed in the corners. At the beginning of the performance, the lights went out and a video appeared on the screens hanging on the walls. When the lights came on again, I noticed several actors whom I saw in booklets and on posters in the foyer of the theater. They sat scattered in the auditorium. A moment later, the main action began right among the audience. I will not exaggerate in the least if I say that such a production aroused my delight. There was a complete immersion in what was happening, the feeling that you were not watching a theatrical performance, but that you were witnessing the discussion by ordinary people of pressing problems. In the heroes presented, I recognized myself, and my loved ones, and just acquaintances. Deep thoughts were expressed that made me think. At the end of the first act, I was sure that the play was over, but the screens indicated the beginning of the intermission. And the second act surprised me again. It lasted only a few minutes and consisted of videos that were simultaneously shown on all four screens hung in the hall. I can assume that the director decided to arrange an intermission in order to give the viewer the opportunity to reflect on how this story will end, and then offered his four options for the development of events for the viewer's judgment. Here is such an unusual theater and an unusual performance. I am grateful to the author for the depth of thought, to the director for the original production and to my husband for the opportunity to touch this art. I wish everyone to visit this place for this production and have a good time.
Perhaps the most original of all the theater performances. The action takes place not on the stage, but right in the hall, where the chairs are arranged in a circle, and screens hang on the walls. At first, you don't even know who your neighbor is - an actor or a spectator. The problem is raised very urgent, that a person needs a house. Own. Which he can inherit. But here's the bad luck, when the main character accidentally finds his dream home, no one wants to lend him money. The actors' play, which, as always, is at the highest level, is accompanied by an interesting video sequence. The only drawback of the performance is a completely unnecessary intermission, it would not be there, and everything would become ideal. I want to give advice, take tickets in the last rows, and not in the center, to see everything that happens, because it's worth it.
Elsa's story "I remember how I prayed, deeply grieving in my soul" conveys the fragile, pure nature of a dreamy, enthusiastic heroine. Elsa's arioso "Oh light-winged wind" is warmed with joyful hope, anxious expectation of happiness. The subsequent dialogue emphasizes the dissimilarity of the heroines: Ortruda's appeal to the pagan gods has a passionate, pathetic character, Elsa's speech is permeated with cordiality and warmth. The detailed ensemble scene of the dispute between Ortruda and Elsa at the cathedral - Ortruda's malicious slander and Elsa's hot, agitated speech - impresses with dynamic changes in mood. A large build-up leads to a powerful chorus quintet. There are two pictures in the third act. The first is entirely devoted to the psychological drama of Elsa and Lohengrin. In the center is her love duet. The second place is occupied by crowd scenes. A brilliant orchestral intermission introduces a wedding feast to a lively atmosphere with warlike cries, the clang of weapons and innocent tunes. The “Joyous Day” wedding choir is full of jubilation. The dialogue between Lohengrin and Elsa "The heart is tenderly burning with a wonderful fire" is one of the best episodes of the opera; wide flexible lyrical melodies with amazing depth convey the change of feelings - from the rapture of happiness to collision and disaster. The artists of the New Opera performed their parts brilliantly. Lohengrin and Elsa Mikhail Gubsky and Olga TERENTYEVA, Telramund and Ortruda Andrzej Beletsky and Anastasia Bibicheva, King Alexei Antonov. And Bibicheva amazingly performed the villainess. How much snake venom was in my voice. The powerful mezzo amazed her, it was clear that this woman would not give up on her. A huge contrast was Elsa performed by Olga Terentyeva. At first she sang in a pure innocent voice, I even decided that the singer had a light lyric soprano, but at the end of the opera her voice sounded very strong, the singer covered the Wagnerian orchestra. Mikhail Gubsky is a very rare dramatic tenor, a luxurious voice, as you know, a piece of goods. Alexei Antonov's velvet bass caressed the ear. Andrzej Bielecki in the role of Telramund was a match for his wife, he performed the part very professionally. There were flaws in the orchestra, the brass line-up was kicking. I wish it weren't. Well, I will not write the production, we will not talk about sad things ...
Since the time of the story "Childhood" in the 6th grade, Gorky for me was a boring and not at all catchy writer. But I went to the play "At the Bottom" with curiosity. I already knew that the director Y. Grymov knows how to stage classics in such a way that the boring becomes interesting, the philosophical becomes accessible, and the protracted becomes dynamic. Expectations came true 100%! The modern inhabitants of Rublevka speak in the language of Gorky, and you would never think that the play was written in 1902. Despite branded items and rich surroundings, people's problems have changed little. Someone is looking for love, who is the truth, someone is already holding the "bottom" with a stranglehold. The actors play great! Each has created a unique image. Vasilisa, Vaska Ashes, Actor seemed especially bright to me. I read reviews - many consider Luka in the play as a negative hero. And he seemed pretty to me. In a difficult situation, he is always there, finds encouraging words, calls on a person to be human. This is important! Music perfectly complements what is happening on stage. I liked the performance and will be understandable to high school students when studying the work. Theater "Modern", in my opinion, is doing a very important job - it reveals the world of classical literature for young people, and this is very valuable. And yes ... I have not read the play, but now I will probably read it ...
My new love is the "Modern" theater! I love it! I just liked EVERYTHING !!! The theater itself is very beautiful - leather sofas, many different unusual lamps, a shining star on the stairs and teddy bears for social distance in free seats, in the auditorium. I really liked the performance! It retains the language and style of the classics, and modern details, recognizable music make the plot of marriage relevant and understandable! Young people are so interesting and accessible! The costumes are unusual, the actors played cool especially Lolita Milyavskaya. In the final, she really touched me: she was left alone. There were many suitors, but nothing came of it. Everyone wanted to marry Agafya Tikhonovna. Whom the mother forced, whom the comrade brought, alone the whole house and the outbuilding assessed. Understandable, accessible, modern! Thanks to director Yuri Grymov for introducing us to the classics so easily! Very bright, smart, with a sense of humor production! I would like to thank the Modern Theater for the invitation. You are best!

Mussorgsky decorates this kind of fairy tale, in which both the spectators take a little part, and the actors play to the glory, and without the dolls, of course, it did not: the Bear - well, is not it cute? But Masha - what a lovely little girl, just a doll with fervent pigtails and blue eyes!
But the girl Mashenka only seems fragile and naive: she is a smart Bear, and managed to show his character at his guest. And hands (that is, of course, paws!) To clean the toe thanks to Masha will learn, and find out what it is like to keep a word. A little Bear will become human - and on health, it will be useful to him!
The girl at the Bear will wait, and then she will want to return home. How can she persuade a hairy man to bring her to his relatives? ..
The past life broke, history turned around, and all who lost their comfort, there was only one thing: to flee. Their destinies are stirred up by the events of the beginning of the twentieth century. They are exiles, fleeing from their past to meet the future. What will be the alarming tomorrow - hopeful or gloomy-threatening?
The large-scale run was described in his bold play by M. Bulgakov, and the director Maria Fedosova embodied it in scenes-dreams. Does the heroes dream of what is happening? Or is it all in real life?
Philumene was not lucky with the origin: a poor girl, she was forced to enter a house of tolerance.
But lucky with the boyfriend: he took her to her, she became his assistant, led his affairs.
And what about love? Lucky or not?
Her custodian, a former boyfriend, does not respect her, has fun with other women, does not want to marry her. Apparently, no luck.
But, perhaps, many years later, when she unexpectedly for the hero turns out to be the mother of his child, these two will gain mutual understanding and a patience for women suffering?

But the sister is married for a long time, she lives an unpretentious life, and her husband is a simple American man.
However, Blanche is even on a visit confident that her views on life - the only true. Is it possible to think so rudely and think so little about the sublime? She will try everything in her own way.
Such arrogance can not but lead to problems ... Was it so necessary to persist in its struggle against ignorance? After all, people do not change, but if you try to break the habitual way of their humble life, you can only make it worse ...
