On April 20, the star of the world opera stage Yulia Lezhneva will perform in the Great Hall of the Conservatory. Laureate of prestigious international competitions, Lezhneva is one of the few opera singers who have achieved worldwide recognition at a young age. Fans of her work do not get tired of admiring the musical charm of the singer, her virtuoso possession of her voice, exceptional coloratura and delightful cantilena. Julia is a singer with a “voice of angelic beauty” (“The New York Times”) with “pure intonation” (“Opernwelt”, “Die Welt”) and “impeccable technique” (“The Guardian”). Together with one of the best performers of the Baroque era, pianist Mikhail Shekhtman will also enter the stage.

Lezhneva’s performances were applauded at London's Covent Garden and Royal Albert Hall & Barbican, the New York Lincoln Center, Tokyo NHK & Bunka Kaikan, the Paris Theater des Champs Élysées, the Moscow Bolshoi Theater and other venues in the world. She is a welcome guest at the Salzburg Festival, December Evenings in Moscow, the Rossini Opera Festival (ROF), Verbier Festival. Lezhneva performed on stage with prominent conductors Mark Minkowski, Alberto Dzedda and Fabio Biondi, and also performed with opera artists such as Placido Domingo, Anna Netrebko, Kiri Te Canava, Joyce DiDonato, Juan Diego Flores and many others.

Lezhneva’s repertoire ranges from Baroque to Belcanto and romanticism and includes works by Vivaldi and Brooch, Bach and Handel, Mozart and Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti, Massenet and Charpentier, Rimsky-Korsakov and Grechaninov. She also masterfully performs the songs of Foret, Schubert, Schumann, Berlioz, Debussy, Boulanger, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Prokofiev.
