That time, when instead of a bouquet of flowers, ladies of hearts were given a bag of potatoes, everyone could be caught, shot, planted. The production follows the traditions of the theater (those who have been here at least once will understand what I mean): transitions, bright lights, strong artists, interesting musical accompaniment. The scenery is interesting and concise. They are curtains of letters, causing an association with the recent exhibition in Moscow, Jaume Plensa. I sincerely love the troupe of the Theater in the Southwest. All the artists dance brilliantly, fencing, get accustomed to any role. They are able to realize even the boldest idea of the director !! Here, for me, from a completely new perspective, Andrei Kudzin opened up, playing the role of Vladimir. His sincere gaze in love at the beginning of the performance, and broken - at the end .... Andrei has a lot of monologues in this production. Each of them creates a strong emotional intensity. I was also impressed by Olga Avilova, who looked at us in a childlike, sincere, open look. I didn’t even recognize Karina Dymont right away. So she joined the image of Marfushi. It turned out to be especially touching. They are all trying to survive in this world that seems to have gone crazy. The performance really impressed me. After watching, I wanted to read Mariegof’s novel, and to study this era better) Congratulations to the Theater in the South-West with a strong premiere and a new director !!! Maxim Lado's debut was a success!)

“ Last week, the Theater in the South-West hosted the premiere of the play “Zoykina Kvartira” staged by Oleg Anischenko. In this theater, they love the work of Mikhail Bulgakov. Most recently, the audience was presented the performance “Kabala the Holy One”, the production of “The Master and Margarita” has long become the hallmark of the theater. It seems to me that Zoykina’s apartment will remain in the hearts of the audience for a long time. The performance lasts 3 hours and 20 minutes, but this time flies so unnoticed! The cast is interestingly solved: they are mixed, the artists perform different roles. I do not get tired to admire the troupe of the theater: they are dramatic actors, singers and dancers. In this production, we see just a crazy choreography, staged by Arthur Oshchepkov. The movements look very impressive and expressive. The musical arrangement of the play was also impressive: the music was chosen perfectly by Maria Ryzhkova. Probably bring a couple of songs in your playlist. The scenery is thought out to the smallest detail: on the stage we see a huge mirror tilted towards the viewer, two huge podiums that allow to delimit the space. Most of all I liked the screen on which the silhouettes of the night visitors of the “Zoykina apartment” were projected. Anna Miminoshvili created very spectacular costumes: incredible elegant dresses of Zoya and model women, bright costumes for the guests of the establishment ... There are a lot of interesting decisions in the production. I liked the scene in which Cherubim (Vadim Sokolov) fights for his love with Gazolin (Oleg Anishchenko). I was impressed by the “musical corner”, in which the piano periodically sounds, the girls sing. The scene of the fire in the apartment is built impeccably. Guests moving quickly and erratically, freeze as the fire deprives them of life. Karina Dymont was brilliant in the role of Zoe: a sophisticated treacherous seductress. I liked very much how everything around me faded when Zoya Denisovna left “in herself”, into her thoughts from the problems surrounding her. It is necessary to close the ears with palms; and all troubles dissolve, the music calms down - complete silence and tranquility. The image of Ametistova seems to have been created specifically for Farid Tagiyev. Incredibly organically ok fit the role of this rogue. Amusing and ironic, the image of Manyushka in Xenia Ephraim turned out. We see Oleg Anischenko on the stage at once in two completely different images: in the role of the “sovereign of the world” Goose-Repair and in the role of Gasolin. The Theater in the South-West is a very strong troupe. Absolutely any material is subject to these artists. In this performance, everyone will be able to find something interesting for himself, there is everything: subtle meaning, understandable humor, beautiful girls in stockings. I am sure that you will enjoy this performance as well as me)

“ Theater in the South-West, I discovered for myself last year. Here you can watch almost all the performances: there is some kind of specific vision, its own special character, a great cast. The performance is based on the play by Jules Fayfer (the most widely read satirist in America) “Little Murders”. In this play in 1971, Alan Arkin was filmed. As far as I know, nobody has worked with this material in Russia before. The author of the performance, Maxim Lakomkin, himself translated the text of this work, setting it up for himself, for this particular theater. The performance itself takes place in the Art Cafe. Guests are comfortable at the tables, drink coffee and enjoy what is happening on the stage. If you have already been to this theater, then you know how masterfully they own the light. There is no need for large-scale scenery. Thanks to the great work of Andrei Dokin, the space transforms beautifully. On the stage we see only a couple of chairs and blinds, but at the expense of video projections we get incredible effects. The musical arrangement is perfect (many thanks to Maria Ryzhkova). The whole performance is accompanied by the track Elvis Presley “Love me tender”. Music gives an understanding of how important love is, even in the most difficult situation, when crime is rampant on the streets. Love is the thread that allows us to survive in this crazy world. I was most impressed with Oleg Anischenko, who played the role of Carol Newquist. It has long been watching his crazy facial expressions and eyes filled with crazy fire. He knows how to set the mood throughout the performance! The role of his charming coquette wife Marjorie is played by Karina Dymont. I really liked the way she flirts with Alfred. We will see on the stage and the director of the play - Lakomkin Maxim. He plays the role of Henry Dupuy - the most stringed priest I’ve seen before) The role of Patsy is performed by Veronica Sarkisov I remember this actress well by the role of Bianchi in The Taming of the Shrew. If there she is gentle, affectionate, then here we see an imperious woman. The last word is always hers. And, of course, Alfred (Denis Nagretdinov). So timid and indecisive at the beginning of the performance, and the absolute opposite - at the end. After Patsy's death, the character of his character changes in the opposite direction. He begins to fight for life. The performance is not for everyone. It is most likely suitable for those who, like me, are in love with the Theater in the South-West, or those who like to look for hidden meaning. Quite complicated, but nonetheless interesting.

“ On 27.01.18 the theater was very small, six rows, it was tight and uncomfortable, after the 2 hour performance everything was hurting! There were many actors, it was played well, but noisily and dinamically! The head was aching by the end of the performance! It's stuffy in the hall and everything else in the smoke (Plot- Nabirukha, or a fairy tale ... either ... did not understand (Conclusion-Fools are easier to live! Thank you for the simplicity of buying tickets, in this theater we will not go any more!
