In 2010, the world premiere of the musical "Portrait of Dorian Gray" was held at the Stas Namin Theater of Music and Drama. The profound and multifaceted meaning of Oscar Wilde's novel assumes an equally serious and multifaceted staging. The unusual music of American composer Randy Bowser with amazing polyphony in choral arias is harmoniously combined with full of elegant aphorisms dramatic scenes. Music, dance, drama and modern computer animation help bring to life the beautiful and paradoxical world of Oscar Wilde.

The young and extraordinarily attractive Dorian Gray lends itself to all temptations, which generously offers him life - but on his face neither vice, nor years leave a trace. What is his secret and what will he pay for his eternal youth?

The musical "Portrait of Dorian Gray" is a beautiful and mystical play about the meaning of life and art, good and evil, betrayal and love.

He so longed to stay young! His face was beautiful, and he loved it.

But for an eternal youth the Englishman paid a terrible price.

Did he sell the soul to the devil?

Handsome Dorian and at forty looked like he was still eighteen. Friends said that it was no accident.

He had a secret. In his London house hung his large portrait of oil. The face in the portrait was covered with wrinkles, it grew old instead of him.

The portrait was painted by a famous artist, but Dorian ruined this master.

With respect, Dorian treated only one English lord, a debauchee and a hypocrite.

Dorian led a disorderly and dissolute life. He did not value either his beloved girl, whom he had pushed to commit suicide, or his relatives.

Betraying a friend is simple. Deceiving the lender is easy!

When will he have to answer for his sins? They have too much.
