Many years in the repertoire of the Mayakovsky Theater there was a play "Fruits of Enlightenment" directed by PNFomenko. The premiere of 2015 is not his reconstruction, but it is quite possible that there will be some "quotes" in the statement of the artistic director of the Mindaugas Karbauskis Theater, a pupil of Pyotr Naumovich.

In the morning turmoil of the wealthy Moscow house, servants scurry about, visitors are continuously ringing at the door: the artel from Bourdieu with a dress for a young lady, interested in everything in the world, Mr. Sakhatov, an unlucky barman, an elegant doctor. Without hurrying, the owners of the house also descend to breakfast, to once again plunge into the conversations about mediums, spiritualism and seances. The queue of visits is continued by unexpected guests - peasants from the Kursk village, who are bustling about buying land. Paradoxically, the main question of their lives will be solved by a resourceful servant.

The first remark by Tolstoy - "a young and handsome footman looks in the mirror and pretties." It was something that the artist Sergey Barkhin and director Mindaugas Karbauskis used as a basis, embodying in the scenery the very theatrical concept of "the mirror of the stage". It is the mirror that will become a kind of mat for the performance: an awkward barman rehearses a fatal look, Mr. Sakhatov carefully combs his bald head, Grigory, the footman, flaunting himself, recollects his love victories, the mistress of the house, adjusting her hair, passing by, straightens her hair, and Tanya's maid Rag.

The performance "Fruits of Enlightenment" will become one of the most populous - the production involves all generations of the theater company. Many artists played in the play Fomenko. But if earlier, for example, Igor Kostolevsky played the role of Vasily Leonidovich Zvezdintsev, now he will play his father, Leonid Fedorovich. As in the production of Fomenko, the role of Professor Krugosvetlov will be performed by Mikhail Filippov, and the role of Tolstoy's mistress is Galina Anisimova. Along with the masters of theatrical stage in the play of Mindaugas Karbauskis, many young people are employed: the maid Tanya, the "driving force of the whole action", Natalia Palagushkina will play, as Vasyl Leonidich Zvezdintsev - Vladimir Guskov.

And after all, there are experts on this topic: mediums, spiritists ... And the table as it suits - a huge, oval, the very thing for the main event of the day - the session. Here, at this session, the world of everyday problems will collide, even if the masters want to buy themselves, even the enthusiasm of the landlords, they want to buy themselves, but the world of spiritual needs, when one wants to touch an unknown and believe in it - do not stand up for the price. But who dares to take advantage of these "fruits" of the minds of the holy? Can a smart and resourceful maid? And that, at her groom the present talent of the medium opened! But why do you need a smart girl?

All the answers in the sparkling and most "densely populated" theater performance, as if in a mirror you will see everything in it yourself. And what - it's up to you.

By the way, Zinaida herself seems to be a ray of light in the dark realm of these surrounding her selfish and vile people, she hardly reconciles with the insidious plan of her mother, it is clear how all this fuss for a certain purpose injures her and gives her suffering. But the end shows that all the same it is not so easy to fight and not succumb to the environment, and maybe even living within the human "demons" ... From the actors liked the game of Olga Prokofieva (the main role) - I think in her role she did more of all work, Natalia Filippova in the role of an eccentric and vagabond Farpukhina, who is mistaken for everyone (yes, she seems to be, against the backdrop of a well-bred, living according to the etiquette of light).
