The Moscow New Drama Theater continues to work on a large-scale project, which includes four main plays by A. Chekhov - “The Seagull”, “Uncle Vanya”, “Three Sisters” and “The Cherry Orchard”.

Well, that’s the end of this endless human comedy. But what will it all end with?

“I will take you away tomorrow, we will work, we will be rich, my dreams will come to life,” dreams Tusenbach, who left military service for tomorrow's happy love. “If I live to be sixty, then I still have thirteen. How will I live these thirteen years? ”The forty-seven-year-old Ivan Petrovich Voinitsky despairs. The actual state adviser Sorin chuckles at his failed dream: “In my youth I once wanted to become a writer - and I did not ...”. “I decided irrevocably, the die is cast, I enter the stage” - the young Nina Zarechnaya begins a new life. “What new life is there! Our position, yours and mine, is hopeless, ”Dr. Astrov draws a line under his life. Or maybe it’s true, we are waiting in vain for something, building illusions, going to live in tomorrow bright future?

We are waiting for something there, further ... We all think that happiness is there and then, not noticing that it is possible only here and now. And our stories have no end. And there is one story that happens every time now. It is LIFE, which, as the classic said: "NOTHING WORTH, BUT AND NOTHING WORTH."

“CHEKOV. PROJECT ”consists of 4 versions. There are four acts in each version, one from “The Seagull”, “Uncle Vani”, “Three Sisters” and “The Cherry Orchard”. 47 characters will go through all the performances of the project, performed by 28 actors.
