At the Moscow Regional Theater for Young Spectators premiere of the play “The Seagull” based on the play by A.P. Chekhov. Over the phenomenon of “Seagulls”, both Russians and foreign directors are no longer a generation puzzled. The play is mystical, striking in its depth and as if plunging us into the very lake on whose coast they love, create, write, suffer and die.
The play “The Seagull” by director Irina Pakhomova is interesting by the fact that the role of Arkadina is performed by Nonna Grishaeva - an actress of very character, “grotesque”. This is a performance about unfulfilled hopes, about people and destinies, about those who could not change their lives.
The director, together with the actors, peering into the faces of their heroes, makes another attempt to unravel the phenomenon of Chekhov's "The Seagull" the secrets of human existence.
