On June 9, at 20.00, the premiere will be presented on the stage “Winter Garden” - “The Solar Line”, staged by Alina Kushim. The performance was created in the framework of the “Department” project - a joint creative program of the Moscow Theater “School of Modern Play” and GITIS, the purpose of which is to provide a full-fledged stage life to the best student works of the directing department.
The performance is based on the play of the same name by Ivan Vyrypayev. In the center of events - the dialogue of Barbara and Werner. The couple has been married for seven years, but there is no harmony in the relationship. Between them is an invisible solar line, which everyone is afraid to cross, taking a step forward. The author of the play, Ivan Vyrypayev, shows that we have forgotten how to talk to each other, to hear and understand. Perhaps Vyrypayev wrote not just a play, but an instruction of relations, revealing the mechanisms of mutual misunderstanding.
My director's intention is to manifest these mechanisms and the method of reaching agreement through four different pairs. The main idea of this work is the following: no matter how different these couples are, the problems of their relationship with partners are, on the whole, the same. And only those who do not give up and go to the end, can find agreement, love and peace.
