If a man has already built a house and raised a son, then he can only plant a tree. The witty plot of playwright Andrei Zhitkovsky talks about how a father, wishing to abide by tradition, brings his son to the field to plant a seedling. But something went wrong, and the field was not so simple. "To plant or not to plant?" becomes almost a Hamlet question. What could be a tragedy becomes a comedy, or rather, a "joke or experiment with elements of comedy and absurdity."
Such genre diversity is not subject to many actors. In order to “plant a tree,” director Marina Brusnikina and theater producer Leonid Roberman invited theater and film star Mikhail Efremov and his son Nikolai Efremov.
