The performance was staged by A. S. Abdulina in honor of the 100th anniversary of Tonino Guerra, an outstanding Italian writer, screenwriter, poet and artist.

Dedicated to the maestro's lover, wife and muse - Laura Guerra.

The “Butterfly” talks about the war through the real experience of T. Guerra, which avoids the traumatic distance and focuses on the strength and beauty of the human soul, which can rise above the horror and chaos of the outside world.

There are almost no words in the “Butterfly”, the language of the performance consists of images, gestures and rhythms that carry the viewer into his own imagination, where the final meaning is formed. The stage space along with puppets and actors is constantly moving, flowing and changing, like a dream, and light, sound and plastic become full participants in the action, creating a whole atmosphere. The butterfly symbol becomes a metaphor for the free and immortal soul, permeating and uniting individual stories into a single fabric. The performance, filled with the poetic power of T. Guerra, itself turns into a flight, where true goodness, compassion and love regain direct clarity and understanding for each person.
