The performance of the theater “Sketches in space” is an homage to the entire pantheon of Russian rock at once, made in the aesthetics of Kurokhin’s “Pop Mechanics”. There are plenty of events in the gloomy space of the Black Hall: the stage composition is woven from images, gestures, generation codes, interview excerpts, poems and music from the era of the “janitors and watchmen”. At any moment near you can start dancing, undressing, eating tape or washing with coal. The creators of the performance were chosen solely by the order of the heart: Letov, Tsoi, Kormilitsev, Garkusha, Grebenshchikov, Dyagilev, Bashlachev, Adasinsky, Naumenko, Kuryokhin, Mamonov, Shevchuk.
"Russian rock" - the experience at the same time personal and collective. As an interpreter of successive pictures, the viewer feels his own separation, but these same pictures add up to a common memory of the “time of the bells”.
