In the play, graduates of the Theater School named after Boris Shchukin (art director of the course - Alexander Koruchekov) are engaged.

This is a fairy tale where the stars talk, people fly, where the strange behavior of the characters is the norm. Where the hero of the story, the boy Peter Pan does not want to become an adult, so he ran away from home and settled among the fairies in Kensington Park.

Peter Pan appears in the Darling house in the middle of the night, with the fairy Chin-Chin with fascinating tales of a fairy country, captivating them children, and flies with them to an unknown beautiful space where everything is unusual - the seasons change hourly, full of mermaids, crocodiles, redskins Indians, pirates.

An unbelievable confluence of events, duels, fantastic stories await John, Mike and Wendy Darling in the company of lost boys. From the deadly danger they are rescued by Peter Pan, who defeated Captain Hook. Children return to the father's house, where happy parents are waiting for them, they grow up, and only Peter Pan remains a boy who hardly knows grown-up friends.

"There are iconic tales that go beyond children's literature. As, for example, "Alice in Wonderland". This is the story of Peter Pan, a boy who did not want to grow up.

Peter Pan is a deep story, it has many layers. This volume is devoted to the volume of research, where they find out what is adulthood, what is childishness.

James Barry has a play and a story about Peter Pan. The play is wonderful, but it should be put on a big stage, make a musical in which to use the machinery, invite acrobats, magicians, make a complicated production performance.

We are preparing our work on the New Stage and here it's not the staging effects that are important, but the gaming essence of the story. After all, childhood continues, while a person plays, believes in adventure. Peter Pan is bored without a game: he, for example, invites his friends to eat "for fun", and when they understand that they want to eat for real, Peter does not give them the opportunity to leave the game, return to real life. The game remains a game, while everyone is fun while she is in joy.

This is a very deep and diverse work that explores the important layers of life, poses the problem of inevitable maturation: as from a cheerful child - a mischief and an inventor - an ordinary boring adult grows up. Peter does not want to become an adult, eludes real life. He prefers to stay forever a child. Therefore, he is doomed to loneliness.

Rimas Tuminas offered a story about Peter Pan, and we all liked the idea. Play the play will be the fourth year students of the Theater Institute named after B. Schukin. It is interesting for me to stage a children's play with my students (I am the artistic director of this course), in which new performers will be introduced every year-another graduation course.

We will try to avoid illustrations and do not want to flirt with the children-spectators, although the stage space implies close contact with the public. Our task is to wake up the child's imagination, to force him to join in the situation, so that our little spectators would like to finish the house at home, think something out. We encourage children to co-create.

This performance is designed for children from 6-7 years old, and for adults, moms and dads, especially those who have remained a child in their souls. "

The premiere of the play "Peter Penn" will be continued by PARAD PREMIER on the New Stage of the Vakhtangov Theater on December 26, 2015.

The duration of the performance is 2 hours with one intermission.

The performance is recommended for spectators over 6 years old (6+).
