If you go to Pushkin's Fairy Tales at the Theater of Nations and expect to see the classical Stanislavsky Theater there ... then it's time for you to expand your horizons and revise the attitude to the theater.
American director Robert Wilson does not accept conventions, he is not at all interested in doing what somebody has already tried or done before. He loves experiments and is able to turn any work into an incredible show.
This is exactly what happened with the tales of Pushkin, known to us from childhood. And do not be afraid of it.
After all, you will fall into a completely unique fairy-tale world, where there are no actors - but there are puppets. They will curl, show you languages, immensely replay, and sing a lot.
But maybe this is what our classics did not have enough for adults to remember about it. Not children who read or pass in the school of his fairy tales, namely adults. To see in this something new or remembered the well-forgotten old. After all, who said that Pushkin wrote his fairy tales for children?
“ A wonderful performance. Very interesting original reading of such familiar, seemingly, works. In this statement he says and carries in himself additional meanings and scenery and costumes and the selection of actors, and what parts of the text are read from the stage by characters, and which are told by the artist and the stage props. A week passed after viewing, and we periodically return to the discussion, comprehending and finding more and more hidden in the first perception moments. I'd like to compare with good spirits-the upper notes-only the upper ones, there are many pleasant discoveries ahead. Thanks to the whole creative team of the theater. Until next time.
“ Great performance! Feelings of delight, surprise, admiration did not leave until the end of the play. I really liked the music! And, of course, the actors play is something amazing! Magnificent storyteller Yevgeny Mironov, Daria Moroz, Olga Lapshina in several images. She was at the play with her 15-year-old daughter, she said that this is by far the best performance she has ever seen.
“ One of the best productions seen in the last few years! This should be the Theater - different, unique, fabulous, reckless ...
