Maxim Didenko, one of the most popular directors of the new generation, who released a number of theatrical hits last season, is putting on the main stage a musical based on the legendary Soviet comedy Circus. In the main role - Ingeborga Dapkunaite. According to the plot of the film Grigory Alexandrov, released in 1936, the USSR is visited by the star of the American circus Marion Dixon with the attraction "Flight to the Moon." The number is a huge success, but its author - German von Kneitschitz blackmailing Marion, threatening to reveal to everyone the secret of her personal life.
Ingeborga Dapkunaite will play in the "Circus" not only Marion Dixon, in whose name - a direct roll call with Marlene Dietrich, but also "Russian Dietrich" - Love Orlova - star of Soviet cinema, the performer of the leading role in the "Circus" Alexandrov.
Maxim Didenko defines the style of his play as a retro-futurism: "The action takes place in a conditional future, which was invented in the distant past." Composer Ivan Kushnir will rethink the "soundtrack" of "Circus" - "Song of the Motherland" by Vasily Lebedev-Kumach and Isaak Dunaevsky, the famous lines "A Wide Country is My Native ..." will acquire a new sound in the production. Maria Tregubova, owner of the Grand Prix of the Prague Quadrennial, laureate of the Golden Mask, Crystal Turandot and other theater prizes, is responsible for the decoration of the performance.
In the play there will be clowns, real circus tricks and orchestra. According to the director, the circus is sometimes breathtaking, but then certainly it should be fun.

Songs in the living, hovering in the sky beauty, spilled blue romance ...
The Soviet film sang a beautiful future, in which it will live fervently and cheerfully. With a dream of the coming changes, the astronauts soared into space, and along with them millions of people were carried away on the clouds of hopes and expectations. Everyone peered into the future and imagined him beautiful, peaceful blue-white, melodic, harmonious, friendly ... And, perhaps, even stylish, judging by how these dreams appear in the play.
The play-fairy tale reminds grown-up viewers of the past and invites you to think: what color do you have today? ..
I'm very sorry for the lost evening. Did not get pleasure from the performance! In addition to the color scheme of the costumes, nothing impressed. There was no text, no outstanding play of actors. Maybe I'm not that performance, and the wrong theater chose to join in the beautiful))
