Orchestral parties in beauty, depth, breadth and power, revealing the polyphony of the feelings and thoughts of the characters, vie with the vocal parties. Very strong vocal episodes - arias of actors, duets, trios, quartets, choruses (especially the amazing choir of prisoners) - are realized with astonishing psychological truthfulness. In a few words, do not convey the contrasting interweaving of the musical themes of the heroic and lyrical; Tragic, angry and jubilant, triumphant. A bright feeling of joy from the triumph of love and the attainment of freedom worthy fills the soul with a sense of happiness that remains with you for a long time after attending such performances.
