The “Spray of Champagne” program offered to the public’s attention is a fragment of individual concert compositions by the Russian State Academic Chamber Vivaldi Orchestra conducted by People’s Artist of Russia Svetlana Bezrodnaya. In January 2019, this one-of-a-kind female string orchestra, founded in 1989 by Svetlana Bezrodnaya, a famous violinist and renowned teacher, celebrated its 30th anniversary. Over the years, the team has given about 3,000 concerts. Its leader has formed a unique repertoire, which includes more than 1000 works by composers of different eras and directions - from Baroque to avant-garde. In addition, for more than twenty years the orchestra has been intensively working on other musical highways, including domestic songwriting classics, urban romance, operetta, music from the repertoire of world famous dance and jazz orchestras of the 20-50s of the 20th century. A special place in the work of S. Bezrodnoy and her team is occupied by patriotic themes, which are devoted to a number of unique projects.

The Gramophone Surprises program is, in fact, the “revived pages” of the thirty-year anniversary of the collective. In the first part of the concert, a popular classic will be presented in a special interpretation by Svetlana Bezrodnaya: works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Bizet, Shchedrin, Sibelius, Kreisler, Gershwin, Chaplin and other authors. The second section will be composed of compositions included in the repertoire of the famous dance and jazz orchestras of the world of the middle of the last century. Many of them can be heard today (at least in our country) only at the concerts of the Vivaldi Orchestra by Svetlana Bezrodnaya. Sergei Polyansky (orchestra lead and concert host) will perform vocal numbers that made Leonid Utesov and Pyotr Leshchenko, Vladimir Bunchikov and Pavel Mikhailov, Yuri Morfessi, Konstantin Sokolsky and other great Russian artists of that distant "gramophone" era famous.
