The ancient Slavic festival of Larks is celebrated on March 22 - on the day of the vernal equinox. It was believed that on this day the larks would return to their homeland, and other migratory birds would fly after them. Upon arrival, the larks determined when it was possible to plow and begin other spring work. Once the lark arrived, it means spring has arrived. Birds, and along with them, spring, called (called out) ritual songs - zaklichkami.
In the "bird" zaklichkah appealed to the larks with a request that they flew in and brought "spring red", "red sun", "warm nest", "free bread" or "good", "warm summer", and carried away a cold winter.
Spring and summer - the time of the celebration of vegetation and worship of it. It's time for funny round dances, ritual rounds of fields, wires of mermaids, gathering herbs ...
This is Easter, and the Trinity, and Ivan Kupala ... It’s time to unite the three elements - earth, water and fire.
The program is dedicated to traditional Russian spring-summer holidays and ceremonies.
