Defender of the Fatherland Day is one of the most beloved national holidays, when we honor our beloved representatives of the stronger sex, paying tribute to their masculinity, courage and nobility. We remember the heroic pages of our history, the fearlessness of our warriors and their deeds, sung in songs. And, of course, we glorify our valiant Armed Forces, the Russian Army, which on this day on the main stage of the House of Music is represented by one of its leading creative teams - the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation.
The big festive program will include the best from the collective's repertoire: popular war songs ("Polyushko-field", "On the hills of Manchuria", etc.), Russian folk songs and romances ("I met you", "Evening bell", etc.) , popular classics (Prokofiev, Sviridov, etc.), incendiary choreographic numbers and world hits (tango Galliano).
Laureate of international music festivals and competitions, the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation has a rich history. It was created during the difficult trials of the Great Patriotic War and in its first concert season of 1942-1943 alone, it performed over 500 concerts. Today the collective has conquered many countries of the world (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Israel, the USA, etc.), it performs not only in the best concert halls, but also in remote garrisons. The repertoire of the ensemble includes about 800 works of vocal, instrumental and dance genres, compositions by Russian and foreign classics, sacred choral music, ancient and modern songs, dances of the peoples of the world, pop compositions. The ensemble is led by Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Professor Vladimir Gennadievich Ivanov.
