According to the stories of Andrei Platonov: "Unknown flower" "Impossible" “Sand teacher” "Potudan River" "Semen" "Yushka"
Premiere - October 3, 2019
The prose of Andrei Platonov (1899-1951) - a writer, playwright, screenwriter, journalist, war correspondent - defies the usual literary research. These are parable stories saturated with a special philosophical perception of reality. The works amazed many contemporaries with the deliberate "incorrectness" of style, phrases, descriptions of actions and the environment. Nevertheless, it is precisely these stories and tales that clearly resonate with world literature and the theater of the era between the two world wars - the First and Second. It was unlikely that something could be truly “right” then, even, neat, clear, when advanced thinkers saw the consequences of the First, still too memorable, catastrophe, and already anxiously guessed the approach of the Second.
In the stories chosen for the production, there is a desire to live, no matter what. The symbol of the whole performance was “Unknown Flower”. To develop, even if there is no environment favorable for this, to strive upward, even if there are those who are ready to trample. To do good, to increase the amount of kindness in the world - even if this business at first glance seems hopeless.
The duration of the performance is 1 h 30 min. The performance is recommended for spectators over 16 years old (16+)
