And then it begins, a real joke, and otherwise it's very difficult to name what is happening. After all, only brought to despair by vegetation in such a place, an intelligent and calculating woman, it might come to mind to deceive the old visiting prince to arrange the life of her daughter and her own. And that, is it a sin, to extradite a young girl for a worthy man, in her own city there is not a party suitable for her. No, the groom was, but is it a great misfortune to give him resignation, for the sake of high society, for the opportunity to escape from this backwater? Of course not! But only she did not calculate what the offended groom can go to ... And now the prince is amused over the amazing dream that he had dreamed after a glorious meal. And all dreams are broken about the silent surprise of the guest - is not this a joke, the marriage of an old man with a 23-year-old beautiful girl?
Someone will understand her, an extraordinary woman, intelligent and driven to despair, and someone will take the side of the insidious groom, someone will simply immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the district town and laugh at the anecdote that Dostoevsky told. But the main thing is that everyone will find something for themselves here.
