Story

The Moscow theater "Et Cetera" offers its version of the great play of Gogol. Sturua, known in the world as an outstanding interpreter of the Shakespearean plays, for the first time turns to the Russian classics. Whereas in the actor's biography of Alexander Kalyagin, the performer of the main role, Gogol's characters were several - from Chichikov in Mikhail Schweitzer's film "Dead Souls" to the Consolatory in "The Players-XXI", Kochkarev in the Mkhatovskaya "Marriage".

Robert Sturua is a director who, in each of his performances, offers unexpected solutions, and in this production has already surprised with the distribution of roles: Khlestakova is played by People's Artist of the RSFSR Alexander Kalyagin.
