The fairy tale "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" by Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann is one of the most popular and beloved by children all over the world. She gave free rein to fantasy adults, who turned her into many theatrical interpretations. The most famous is the well-known ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
And the Moscow New Drama Theater turned to the legacy of the great German storyteller with the idea of making The Nutcracker an exciting children's musical. The heroes of this story - Maria, Fritz, the Mouse King and, of course, the Nutcracker himself will appear before our audience singing, dancing, as it should be in a real musical, and traveling through the mysterious twists and turns of the plot, which will reveal to us the secret of the Nutcracker. And, maybe, on this journey, the audience will see what can defeat the Mouse King, without which it is impossible in the world to be yourself.
The composer of this performance is well known to our young viewers from the musicals "All Mice Love Cheese" and "Morozko".
