Who invented you, star country?
I have been dreaming for a long time, I have been dreaming about it.
I will leave the house, I will leave the house -
A wave is beating right behind the pier.
On a windy evening, the cries of birds will cease.
Starlight I will notice the light from under the eyelashes.
Quietly towards me, quietly towards me
The trusting little prince will come out.
This song, which was first performed in the film "Passenger from the Equator" in 1968, performed by Elena Kamburova, became the singer's hallmark for many years. The play "The Little Prince" based on the fairy tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupery is a kind of nostalgic
recollection of one of the main themes in the work of Elena Kamburova. This is a conversation about eternal human values that have begun to be forgotten in the modern hectic world, a conversation about trying to take off again, in spite of any life "accidents".
The play contains songs to music and verses by Denis Sorokotyagin:
"Song of the Rose"
"Fox's Song"
"The Pilot's Song"
"The Song of the Snake"
The performance uses a fragment of the documentary film "Monologue" (TO "Screen", directed by Vadim Zobin and Alexei Simonov, 1970), in which M. Tariverdiev's song to N. Dobronravov's poem "The Little Prince" is played.
