The play "Wanted Hamlet" by Marcel Kremer is a varied and associative monologue on the fundamental themes laid down in Shakespeare's play.
On stage, a young man who does not cope with the world around him and with himself in this world. It legitimized the killings, cruelty of parents, their surroundings, and set a vector, according to which the "little" Hamlet should move.
"Wanted Hamlet" is a reflection of today's day, about politics, about the world in which war and power reign, about us, also every day coming out to fight with ourselves.
"We are all Hamlet." And hell is always different. But we are hell to ourselves.
"We are all Horatio." We are observers, survivors, left out of the situation, commentators.
Hamlet is a modern tragic hero. He does not want to kill and does not want to die at the end of the tragedy. Does he betray the ideals of Humanism, the embodiment of which was Hamlet Shakespeare, despite the actions he committed? Or Hamlet Kremer - the new rebellious and doubting hero of our time?
The theater speaks about today, it is impossible to abstract from it. And at the same time, it conducts a dialogue with each of us about our own essence.
"Wanted Hamlet" is polyphony in the monologue of one hero.
In the play, theater facilities are used.
The play was first translated into Russian specially for "Karlsson Haus".
