The writer Boris Alikhanov comes to the Pushkin Museum-Reserve "Mikhailovskoye" to earn some money as a guide. Here, under the bright rays of the "sun of Russian poetry", eccentric guides, curious tourists and eccentric locals bask in the warmth.
In Pushkin's clarity of thought, in his attitude to life and literature, Alikhanov finds refuge from his personal and creative crisis. He almost turns into a bizarre character in the reserve himself when his wife announces her decision to emigrate, taking her daughter with her.
