Vivaldi, Piazzolla, Tchaikovsky
Favorite classics in sand scenery - an unforgettable concert spectacle for the whole family. This evening, the string quartet “Melodion” will present three views on “The Seasons” - the genius of Italian Baroque Antonio Vivaldi (XVIII century), the genius of Russian music Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (XIX century) and the genius of Argentinean tango nuevo Astor Piazzolla (XX century). The sand artist, drawing their music using the techniques of light - flight (light painting) and sand art (sand animation), will find new magical graphic images.
Prone to philosophy, no doubt, will note the symbolism inherent in the name of the program. Sand and time, the image of the hourglass - how often they were used by artists to depict the continuity and inexorability of the passage of time, the cyclical nature of the change of seasons, life and death. Composers have made an excellent contribution to the description of the passage of time and the natural cycle. “Seasons”, capturing pictures of nature and everyday sketches of three different countries and centuries, are recognized masterpieces of Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky and Piazzolla. Spectators, of course, will appreciate the virtuoso game of musicians (all participants of the quartet are laureates of international competitions) and the beauty of a live sand video installation. Such an unexpected reading of the classics convinces us that you can not only listen to music, but also watch it - just like watching a movie or a dream, where the invisible world suddenly takes on visible shape and takes us to a new reality.
