The ALEKO Theater presents a production of A. Ostrovsky’s play “Rich Brides” - an excellent example of Russian classical drama in the genre of lyrical musical comedy. This is a deep knowledge of human nature and the beauty of the Russian language of the great playwright. The twists and turns of passions and vivid characters. The trepidation of urban and gypsy romances always excites the soul of a Russian person, and even more so in a live performance of artists. The musical palette is diverse: it also organically merges old waltzes and folk melodies and gypsy songs. An openwork melodic ligature of a live guitar and violin decorates the performance. The production is occupied by a gypsy ensemble.

Country life ... How many passions, funny stories, unexpected encounters, intrigues and romantic events. Surrounded by flowering front gardens and dark alleys, bright comic and tragic events take place. The loving general rents a cottage for his "niece." Their secret connection requires privacy. But he is not the only one who is fascinated by the young favorite ... In parallel with this, a second love affair develops: the rich merchant, decided to get married this year and make great and sometimes comic efforts. Who would have thought that this was the 21st century Ostrovsky’s play will be so relevant. In difficult life situations, it is difficult for a person to preserve himself, his dignity. It is not easy to overcome and restrain your passions and desires. Calculations, money, career! But genuine human values, like 140 years ago, remain the same: love, sacrifice, nobility, compassion and forgiveness. There is always, albeit not an easy, opportunity to return from a whirlpool of passions to a difficult but bright life. To your soul.
