First of all, I have great respect for the boldness of the idea itself - the theatrical production of Ecclesiastes. Mark Grigorievich Rozovsky, Valery Sheiman and all the other participants of the play - even the word itself seems inappropriate, rather this Action - turned their attention to the most difficult biblical text that raises the question of the value of earthly goods and all that a man seeks on earth. We need a truly civil courage in order to recall the words of Ecclesiastes today, who endures a severe sentence to all the illusions of a carnal man. All the joys are temporary, there is no justice among people, even wisdom and knowledge only increase grief, "Ecclesiastian says. Perhaps the words of Ecclesiastes reflect the time when many of us began to be disappointed in extraordinary expectations and promises, when the opposite of expectations, hopes and reality becomes intolerable, and the only consolation of a person is the assertion that our whole life is "vanity and vanity of spirit." Here we are talking about a reassessment of our earthly aspirations. In my opinion, this stage of inner spiritual work is necessary for us today. This is the stage of transition from the old world outlook and ideas about the world to new revelations of the life of the next century, the spiritual age. Hopefully, the production of Mark Rozovsky will help us to discover the revelations of Ecclesiastes.
