The name of the play written by Ostrovsky during the Great Lent of 1871, gave the proverb "Not all cats are carnival, there is also a great post."

In the center of the comedy are two neighboring families: the merchant widow Kruglova with her daughter-without a dowry and the rich man Ahov, a millionaire for 60 years.

In the scenes from Moscow life, everyone is embraced by his passion: for Ahov the whole world is concentrated in himself, in his capital, his nephew Hippolyte, on the contrary, has a fever of poverty, and in the nepreddnitsy Agnia - dreams of happiness.

How to be a poor girl: marry an unloved, but a rich old man or for a loved one, but a poor young man? How to be a widow-mother: to arrange the fate of her daughter or her own?

But before the fateful choice are all participants in the events. How to be a mother? To sacrifice the welfare of her daughter or her happiness? A merchant? Continue to all tyrannize, seeking his own, or to accept his fate?

Dostoevsky. Bright, beautiful costumes, thoughtful images, in general, affected the strings of my soul ... all the characters "stigma in the gun," even the dying teacher Vasily, Zinaida's love ... By the way, Zinaida herself seems to be a ray of light in the dark realm of these surrounding her selfish and vile people, she hardly reconciles with the insidious plan of her mother, it is clear how all this fuss for a certain purpose injures her and gives her suffering. But the end shows that all the same it is not so easy to fight and not succumb to the environment, and maybe even living within the human "demons" ... From the actors liked the game of Olga Prokofieva (the main role) - I think in her role she did more of all work, Natalia Filippova in the role of an eccentric and vagabond Farpukhina, who is mistaken for everyone (yes, she seems to be, against the backdrop of a well-bred, living according to the etiquette of light). Of course, there is also the character "idiot", the prince. Not bad played young actors, Vsevolod Makarov and Polina Lazareva, did not overact, just moderately.
