From the one you like: the organization of the stage and the auditorium is interesting - the arena and the university audience at the same time (such a solution to theatrical space with the addition of playgrounds at any point of the auditorium is practiced by our favorite theater "Sphere"), excellent actors who can play the phone book. Unfortunately, they did not even have to play it, but the play chosen by the director M. Karbauskas by his compatriot M. Ivashkyavichus - an indigestible something with a claim to intellectual elitism. Impossible prolonged performance, more than three hours of talk about anything, repeated replicas of replicas and stage settings. Humor is not thin, jokes are not funny, some are frankly vulgar. Paraphrasing the author, we can say that the work is very meager, and not only in terms of time and space. Waiting for at least some climax and decoupling of a languid plot remained for the second action. As a result, the spectators, who left the theater during the intermission, were jealous. It is a pity that respected actors are wasting talent in such a mediocre play. Sorry for the money spent and lost time. Such is the attempt with unfit means ...

“ Perhaps this performance is not for everyone. In our opinion, this is the best that we have seen in the theater in recent years. For the present they never went to any other production for the second time (although they looked at many worthy things and thought to come again). On the "Kant" go for the third time and something suggests that it will not be the last.

“ Six men and one woman talk for three hours about a man. About how he thinks, how he loves, how he distinguishes between good and evil, how the imagination works, how real and imaginary time relates, and finally about the main thing - what is his goal. In passing, the conversation absorbs and digests two sisters of mercy, a servant in search of a new master and several imaginary and real, but missing characters. The classical Aristotelian play, as I understand it, everything happens in one place and in one piece of time. At the same time, this performance has everything to delight and capture completely, if in principle you at least like the theater a little, it is alive, it is funny and dramatic, it is tense and romantic, it is light and intelligent. Grotesque, absurdity, games with space and time, costumed historical drama, all together and at the same time. I can not say how good the artists were, I'm not an expert at all. But apparently they were beautiful, because the strongest and most immediate feeling, from which I still did not completely get rid of, left after everything ended - why? Why did not they open the book and see what's inside? It is clear that after all that happened in this book there must have been answers. Maybe they would still find out what the goal of man is after all.

Of course, my feelings greatly strengthened the fact that I was at the pre-premiere show. On this day there were many theatrical public, who greeted each other, communicated and were keenly interested in what was happening. As if I went another small step deep into the world Theater. *** I read that the play by Marius Ivashkevičius was specially adapted for this production into Russian. As far as I know, real stage works should not need such explanations, but, in any case, here they are needed. Of course, I can imagine Koenigsberg and East Prussia, but since there are no allusions to the volcano in Iceland, the theme of the fog from which people turn gray will remain gibberish for me. But not all viewers are playing the program, and even those who bought do not always read the tabs ... Perhaps, such a role, from the author, should have sounded in the play? The genre of the play is not indicated. Before the viewer - one day, more precisely, one dinner from the life of the philosopher. Almost the usual, with the usual friends, for unhurried conversations, a lunch intended for rest, where there is no place to work. Only one thing distinguishes him from the others - on this day they were joined by the niece of a friend of Kant who came from Scotland, and she wants the owner of the house to sign her recently published book ... Genre, it is really difficult to define. I have not seen such performances for a long time. Definitely, there is a kind of philosophy. Sometimes, maybe even superfluous. Definitely, there is a lot of humor. Probably, this is basically a comedy. But this is not an entertaining comedy at all, and the audience should not be altogether entertaining. Maybe it's a "slow comedy with elements of philosophy." Yes, that's probably the most accurate way.
