If in the center of the plays "Kant" and "Russian novel" were the figures of the great thinkers of the past: Immanuel Kant and Leo Tolstoy - the play "Exile" is addressed to the present and is devoted to the theme of migration. The life of a Lithuanian migrant in the UK resembles a terrible narcotic druggie, and London turns into its dark side, only familiar to outsiders who have moved here. The main character is waiting for a series of feverish encounters and partings, as a senseless attempt not only to find shelter, but also to find oneself again. Here unfolds an inhuman battle for a place in space and time, which never responds and becomes native. Heroes fall into a cruel trap, consisting of irresistible loneliness, incoherent revenge and attempts to find the causes of their own restlessness. The authors of the play raise issues of xenophobia, terrorism, the clash of the West and the East, painful mimicry and the loss of one's own "I" between the two worlds, not one of which never becomes a home.
