Traveler. Scientist. Writer and musician. Doctor and military man. And also - a man who conquered the hearts of thousands of women. And oddly enough, he went down in history not thanks to his translation of the Iliad, but precisely to these exploits.

His name is known to everyone - Giacomo Casanova.

The Sergei Bezrukov Foundation presents a new production: "Casanova - Ars Vivendi". The play about the legendary adventurer is a two-act comedy about Casanova's adventures at the court of Catherine II. Cold Russia and burning Italian temperament - such a clash will make the audience laugh all evening. A gallery of striking characters: the simple-minded and charming ladies-in-waiting of Protasov and Perekusikhin, the great scientist and loyal subject Lomonosov, the ironic Catherine II, the straightforward Count Orlov and the tireless, irresistible, unsurpassed Casanova - not a second will be bored with such heroes.

The leading actor and stage director Sergei Bezrukov managed to find a fresh interpretation of the image of the familiar character and create an ideal humorous performance around him. From the classic sitcom to the melodrama, the play makes you wonder: is the hero really so simple? We see him as a noble gentleman who cares about the honor of women, a good friend and a man capable of true love.

Ars Vivendi translates as “the art of living”. At the end of the performance, the viewer will feel that Casanova's life itself, in its own way, was also a work of art.
