Review

The music for this ballet was specially written for the theater by the wonderful composer Leonid Lubovsky, and the honored art worker of Russia Georgy Kovtun became the choreographer and author of the libretto.

"Children love tricks," says the famous choreographer. - They like it when a clown in a circus falls, strikes - they relate his fall to his life. Therefore, we will have many tricks for the children to wait for them, instead of yawning in a boring ballet and not eating candy. But in anticipation of the trick, they are gradually drawn into classical dance. I also know for certain that there must be love in the children's ballet. Love, good and evil must be very clear and distinct, Chekhov's semitones and Dostoevsky tearing the child is unlikely to understand. But, of course, taking into account today's rapid aesthetics, with the speed of "Tom and Jerry." And still, I'm not going to go directly on the subject of computer games and cartoons, because the ballet has a completely different style. It's not a bad idea to return the children a little back, to a beautiful fairy tale, which we tried to do. "

The production designer of the play was People's Artist of Russia Vyacheslav Okunev, who invented a unique space for children's performance in which viewers are literally inside the action and surrounded by a scene from all sides.

The premiere of the "Tin Soldier" took place within the framework of the Open Art Festival "Cherry Forest" and will continue the cooperation of the Natalia Sats Theater and the festival. This cooperation started a year earlier, when the premier of George Isahakian's interactive media performance "Rehearsal of the Orchestra" based on the famous film by Federico Fellini was played in the "Cherry Forest".

A ballet with many tricks not only amuses and amuses young spectators: it teaches them how beautiful love is!

The Tin Soldier was in love with the Ballerina, but their romantic union was prevented by the evil Troll. Unsaid, reincarnated left their youthful feeling - but even so it was perfect!
