Chukovsky "Moydodyr" Director - Natalia Lebedeva Artist - Natalia Toporova Composer - Sergei Zhukov for viewers from 5 years Duration - 60 minutes As in the real literature, in the tale of KI Chukovsky, the words draw images, lie down to music, dance and sing . One day in the life of a grubby little boy turns into an exciting and enlightening adventure. A performance, cheerful, fervent, sonorous, becomes a hymn of purity and a triumph of order. “ International day of the puppeteer was on March 21 and we were lucky to meet this holiday in the Moscow Puppet Theater at the play “Cinderella”. The staging of Yuri Utkina, although it reminded the film of 1947 according to the script of Evgeny Schwarz, was surprised by the novelty. I thought that the places in the center in the sixth row were not the most convenient for viewing, but these turned out to be the best places, because we had several heroes in front of us, and video projections appeared on the ceiling. At such moments, it seemed that it was not the auditorium here and now, but a real fairy tale and it can be felt, one has only to lend a hand. Interest was supported by special effects, bright costumes, “live orchestra”. But most of all, I was amazed at the scenery, from the darkness of which the dial appeared, the forged gates turned into wings, and the birds and pegasus painted on the walls came to life. I especially liked the scene when the clock struck midnight - the gears spun, the characters flashed, the voices replaced each other, in one word - magic. In the second part, the world of Cinderella and Prince’s dreams magically looked, thanks to machinery and light effects. And there were many more moments, seeing which I thought: "However, how unusual it is." My daughter liked the dolls, especially the fairy Fairy with a long train. Almost all the heroes were played by two dolls - three-dimensional and flat, Cinderella was played by two three-dimensional dolls - one is bigger, the other is smaller, due to this the heroine was visually approaching or removing. Dresses and hairstyles of dolls are identical to the costumes and hairstyles of actors. All dolls except the Prince and Cinderella convey the character of the characters, for example, the stepmother's dress with sharp corners underlines her bad temper, the Forester is depicted as a gun, the dessert lover Marianna is simply immense, and the King for some reason has a pear-shaped head. More than others, the Fairy and her Page were smiled, which is by no means a boy, but rather a rocker and romantic feelings between them (she did not understand the meaning of such a relationship in a children's play). We were at the Moscow Puppet Theater for the second time, they came an hour before the start of the performance, because there are a lot of interesting things here. We met Buzay in the wardrobe room, had previously only seen Motya, and there is also Elsa and Kisa. Viewed dolls in the lobby and the museum, looked into the buffet and a mini-shop. After the performance, they shared their impressions in the guest book.

“ We watched one of the most famous productions about love at the Moscow Puppet Theater - “The Magic Nut. The Nutcracker Story. Among the many performances of the fairy tale by E. T. A. Hoffman is the play by playwright L. Yakovlev closest to the original, which my daughter and I really liked. But the usual music was heard only once, I love it very much, so I waited for the whole performance, and my daughter shook her leg in time with the new works by composer S. Zhukov. Also unexpected was the performance of the German Christmas anthem "O Tannenbaum" and the accompaniment of musical instruments. Heroes sing, dance, have fun, because they meet Christmas and everything is so natural that the audience also feel themselves part of this family. The listed components and costumes of the heroes of the era of the 19th century show us the original Nutcracker, as he could have been before P. I. Tchaikovsky wrote the ballet, which director Natalia Lebedeva wanted to show us. In the performance, the actors play the roles of people, and the dolls play the role of dolls, and the Nutcracker first plays the doll, and when the spell is dispelled, it turns into a young man - Drosselmeyer's nephew. But before the spell falls, viewers see many interesting moments: a wooden bicycle-horse, unusual watches, bright masks, circus elements, a beautiful toy castle, amazing houses on the heads of actors and a watchmaker’s suitcase, snow, stars, “black theater”, shadow theater and more. My daughter and I were struck by the Mouse King - they are two actors in black suits, studded with mice, one has three big mouse heads in crowns, the other has 4, they form a seven-headed king and at the same time a horde of mice. Very impressive and even frightening, especially those who look from the first rows. At the end of the performance, I talked with my daughter about sympathies: I liked the wizard Drosselmeyer (Anton Chalysh), the character turned out to be fun, playful and not simple; daughter liked the dolls, especially the moment when they came to life and began to fight off mice. Nevertheless, staging with a hint of humor and leaves a sweet-tart aftertaste. The performance is 1h. 40 min (with intermission), designed for viewers from 6 years. The hall is roomy, there is no lift, the stage is high, the transforming chairs. Program 100 rubles. My daughter drew attention to the curtain, said that Konfetenburg is depicted on it. During the intermission went to the buffet, treated to fresh (still warm) pastries and fruit compote, very tasty and all for 50 rubles. In the buffet, you can sit at a table by the window with dolls or in a house with books. I recommend to come to the theater in advance, because there is a museum “House of theatrical doll”, where the dolls from various performances are represented. Some exhibits are behind glass, but many are open, alongside are signs with the name of the performance, posters, photographs, and scenery. The daughter was impressed by the big dolls, it is very interesting to look at them closely. In the hall there are also a lot of dolls behind glass and just on the windows. There is a magic mailbox for spectator mail, where everyone can drop his letter addressed to a fabulous hero or a favorite artist. If you specify a return address or e-mail, you may get an answer. There is a small shop with toys for children, my daughter really liked the puppet, it seems to me that I was exactly the same as a child. And that's not all, be sure to linger around the wardrobe, because the wardrobe-workmen work there. These are cute dolls who enjoy communicating with children, playing with them and musical instruments. We met Motya, he simply charmed her daughter, she is very much looking forward to a new meeting :)
