In the play texts from the novel by Fyodor Dostoevsky "Idiot" and the novel in poems by Alexander Pushkin "Eugene Onegin", a poem by M. Tsvetaeva "We are different, like land and water ..."

Is there a more popular comedy in the domestic classical repertoire than Gogol's "Marriage"? Is that his "Inspector". These masterpieces of dramaturgy are loved by directors, actors and spectators, it has been repeatedly proved on stage, since 1842. Directed by Yuri Butusov, along with wonderful artists, he composes a painful St. Petersburg story about loneliness, the search for happiness, the impossibility of realizing a dream. Our mysterious mysterious unsettled city becomes one of the main characters of the play.

An expectation that will not be resolved by anything.

They take out a simple thing on the stage, stand in a bright light, pouring from above. They are the inhabitants of this strange city of silence. But the silence in it is viscous, dreary, as if slowing down time itself. And these sounds of wind, rain - no, they do not violate its charms, but, on the contrary, increase the sense of being caught in a trap.

Here, the faceless suitors are tossed aside. They are small people, invisible, afraid of everything in the world and at the same time - hopeful. Well, and what? They have not yet been pronounced by the obstinate bride, and they dare to have hope, to dream of it. On the life of the best they dream about home comfort.

And then - next to a matchmaker-witch. Oh, she will twist the plot! She likes to manage other people's destinies, weave them together and immediately plant them on different sides. If only the demon did not intervene. Although he, as a hedgehog, here as here. Juliet, seduces to matchmaking. And he certainly must today, but not tomorrow. After all, tomorrow, it may not happen, but become a master of destiny oh, as you want.

But will not anyone hurt him? Maybe the intellectual in his glasses has his guardian angel, or even a demon, but who will figure it all out. Especially when before the wedding, it's just one step! That's just what his unfortunate bridegroom does in the wrong direction and ..

Escape fails.
