The theater hopes that by turning to F.M. Dostoevsky's outstanding warning novel, the director and artists will be able to speak out about our time and its acute problems, and create a breathtaking canvas about human passions. Director Alexei Slyusarchuk talks about the theme of the play as follows: “Something is happening. In life. In the novel. In the play. Gradually, a person is captured by an obscure dark feeling. Losing yourself? Loss of meaning? Loss of purpose? There is a God. He is light and eternity. There is a devil. He is darkness and loss. The demon portends the end, he is inside each of us, he is waiting in the wings. Everyone dies.
