The Chamber Orchestra \"Russian Conservatory\", which won the fame of the discoverer of the masterpieces of European baroque, on February 16 in the Cathedral Chamber will perform the compositions of A. Vivaldi, J.D. Zelenki and G.F. Handel.
\"Bohemian Bach\" - as Zelenka was one of the most significant authors of Baroque during the life of Jan Dismas. Incredibly popular these days in the West, to domestic listeners, this wonderful Czech composer becomes famous precisely because of the \"Russian Conservatory\" and its artistic director and conductor Nikolai Honzinsky. Over the past 10 years, for the first time in Russia, almost all of Zelenka's orchestral works have been performed, and a number of world posthumous premieres have been played. On February 16, the Concert for Orchestra will be performed in the Cathedral Chamber, a masterpiece of the finest instrumental sound recording.
The real adornment of the program will be a cantata by GF Gendel \"Abandoned Armida\" in the inimitable performance of the Mariinsky Theater soloist Natalia Pavlova. The musical material of the cantata is so bright and rich that it could easily serve as the basis for a large-scale work - an opera or an oratorio. However Handel created from it a complete, extremely compact dramatic composition for the soprano, accompanied by an orchestra. For the first time in Russia the cantata was performed in the concert hall of the Mariinsky Theater by Nikolai Khondzinsky with the Russian Conservatory and Natalia Pavlova.
As for the \"Seasons\" by Antonio Vivaldi, probably the most famous and beloved work of world classics, a real discovery awaits listeners here. Historical accuracy and impeccability of performance in conjunction with the creative passion of young musicians creates the feeling that this great music is born here and now.
The concert will take place in one of the best concert halls of modern Moscow - in the Cathedral Chamber, in the historic building of the Moscow Diocesan House, located at 6, Likhov Pereulok.
