“ Were yesterday at the play War and Peace - Spesivtsev's Theater .... I liked it very much! Terrific! I did not ever confess in this theater and I was a bit worried, would not I? When I saw a huge number of students in the foyer, I was just puzzled! Mostly in the hall there were schoolchildren! And how I was surprised when the action on the stage carried everyone and adults and not very much! How did the director manage to reflect the essence of the work in 1 hour 20 minutes! What a wonderful game for young actors! We were very satisfied! We will definitely come again
Director Vyacheslav Spesivtsev made a very unusual performance. Firstly, Kutuzov and Napoleon are played by one actor. Secondly, he combined the plot of the novel with the songs of Vladimir Vysotsky.
The scenes of battles, secular balls, love searches for Natasha Rostova took us from school. Although it was not so easy to master the giant scale of the work at such a young age, but the plot forced reading page after page. Here, in just 1.5 hours, the whole essence of the four huge volumes is transmitted. And even something more.
The main character is played by the beautiful actress Maria Proka. She was completely able to convey the metamorphosis of this image. As Natasha herself throughout the novel turns from a loving, naive girl to the standard of femininity, so the actress lives a lifetime on the stage. The game of Stanislav Khatyukhin is beyond any praise. He unrivaledly performed the songs of Vysotsky himself and got used to the image of the legendary commander Vasily Denisov.
Theatrical design and costumes for the performance was performed by the cult artist Nikas Safronov, and the genius composer Alexander Zhurbin wrote music.
