The performance is based on the poetry of the "thaw" period. Late 50s and 60s - an amazing period in Russian history. The Thaw is the time of awakening and finding freedom, the time of a new theatrical language and cinema, and, of course, the time of literary discoveries. Everyone needed poetry. They were read in squares and stadiums, in museums and at monuments. This is the story of a new performance from the “Poetic Cabaret” cycle, which started at the Provincial Theater last season. The play contains poems by 27 poets of the “thaw” period, and many of them will be performed for the first time from the stage.
Also, the performance will feature songs based on poems by Andrei Voznesensky, Evgeny Yevtushenko, Gennady Shpalikov, Alexander Galich, songs from the repertoire of Maya Kristalinskaya and wonderful melodies by Mikael Tariverdiev.
