Who are we? Swans? Or ugly ducklings? Looking at our reflection on the smooth surface of the water, we can see the Swan, as it happened in the story written by Andersen - the perfect image and likeness of God. But on earth, the ugly duckling will forever remain an ugly duckling. Can he turn into a swan? Probably, this can only happen in Paradise. Alexei Lelyavsky staged a shout-play, a punch-play, when the emotional intensity and crumpled change of mise-en-scènes are more eloquent than an array of text, where fragments of Andersen's The Ugly Duckling are torn apart by poetry that you cannot attribute. Lelyavsky staged a performance with broken, intermittent breathing, although what a harmony a scream can have. The performance is nominated for the "Golden Soffit 2017"
