Alla Sokolova's play became widely known after the film of Ilya Averbakh of the same name of 1979 with Andrei Mironov and Marina Neelova starring. The story of a dentist obsessed with the idea of forcibly universal unity, not taking into account simple human feelings, director Yevgeny Bednyakov saw as a history of spiritual and spiritual terrorism. Getting into the realm of three single women - the mother and her two daughters, a visionary and a fanatic Farjayev wants to make them happy, but brings only misery. The play about the freedom to live simply and out of totalitarianism is put by the young director Evgeny Bednyakov, a graduate of the Personal Direction Workshop of Boris Yukhananov.
