To see the "Meek" in Moscow is a great success. And perhaps the only chance! Shows in Moscow were not scheduled. The performance was conceived as a festival. But after the huge success of the premiere, which took place on March 5, 2018 at the VI International Theater Festival “CHELOVEK THEATER” in Chelyabinsk, it became clear that the show in Moscow was necessary. Too much interest in the play of critics, colleagues and spectators.
At the heart of the performance is the story “The Meek” by Fyodor Dostoevsky - mysterious, painful, fainting, dreamlike. The public is waiting for a meeting with an unexpected hero - tormented and tormented, vulnerable and scary.
Cast: Vladimir Skvortsov, Svetlana Svibilskaya and Muradin Khuranov. Director: Vladimir Skvortsov.
The method of directorial reading is simple and at the same time quite unusual. Vladimir Skvortsov is moving away from the seemingly one-man show format, so natural in this case. Without changing a single author's word, the director seems to place a lens between the main character and the audience in the form of two additional characters that Dostoevsky did not signify, introducing the action into a completely new context - not modern, rather timeless. And through this magic lens it becomes especially clearly visible - this is about us!
