Moliere's new comedy in the Satyricon repertoire is outwardly located in the same scenography as The Reluctant Healer, but this performance is radically different. Exactly 350 years ago, Moliere himself, in the role of Scapin, entered the stage of the Parisian Palais Royal in a freshly written farce about a clever servant. In the production of Konstantin Raikin, the title role of one of the most important comedic figures of Moliere's theater - "Servant", "Harlequin", "First Zanni" - is played in turn by Artyom Osipov and Alexei Bardukov. In terms of style and method of play, there is a change of eras, different colors and motives.
“On the one hand, this is a top-class play theater and incredible divine fun, where there is a lot of simply funny, funny and wonderfully invented,” comments Konstantin Raikin, “and besides, there is such a powerful, wise, incredibly sharp satirical and philosophical charge that definitely touches modern reality ”.
THE DOCTOR TO REVOLUTE
Adventurer and rascal Sganarelle tries to outsmart his neighbors, and they take him for a miracle doctor. The bright, grotesque, fast-paced comedy based on Moliere lasts exactly 70 minutes in one breath. During this time, three actors, playing the roles of eleven characters in the play, will perform hundreds of disguises at different ends of the wings, constantly appearing in front of the audience in new characters. This director's hymn to acting, sung by Konstantin Raikin, will remind you of Satirikon's proprietary know-how - the legendary theater of masks of Arkady Raikin with his unique swift reincarnations. The play is a seemingly frivolous, light little thing about the absurdity of lies, but it also has more than one “dress”: at all times one tries to outwit the other, get out of the water and connect with his beloved in any way.
The production features the music of the opera classic Giuseppe Saverio Rafaele Mercadante in the author's version and arrangement by Vladimir Goloukhov.
