Khibla Gerzmava is a real prima donna of the opera stage, a bright and stylish singer who sounds equally convincing in classical arias, jazz improvisations and old romances. Khibla is a laureate of numerous prizes, including "The Voices of Verdi" (Italy, 1993), the competition. Francisco Vinyasa (Spain, 1994), Golden Mask (Russia, 2010 and 2016), Golden Orpheus, Casta Diva, Triumph and many others. It was Khibla who in 1994 became the only winner of the Grand Prix of the International Tchaikovsky Competition among vocalists in its history.
Today Khibla is one of the most demanded Russian singers on the world opera stage. She performs at the Teatro alla Scala, the Royal Opera Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera, the Bavarian State and Rome opera houses, the Vienna State Opera, the Champs Elysees and Chatelet in Paris, the Comunale Theater in Florence and the Liceu Theater in Barcelona, the Sophia Opera, The Mariinsky Theater and the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.
