Opera Carmen, one of the most famous in the world repertoire. The history of the frantic Gypsy has gained immense popularity precisely after the publication of the opera, and not since the creation of the original source - the short story Merimee. Bizet's music, full of life and light, praising the freedom of the human person and stunning with incredible drama, makes one ask questions: what moves a person who has lost his head from love, what pushes him to crime, what is jealousy and repentance?

The best opera masterpiece was called "Carmen" P.I. Tchaikovsky. “Bizet’s opera,” he wrote, “is one of those few things that are destined to reflect in themselves to the greatest degree the musical aspirations of an entire era. In about ten years, Carmen will be the most popular opera in the world. ” These words turned out to be prophetic: in our time, "Carmen" is included in the repertoire of opera companies all over the world and is performed in most languages (even in Japanese!)

The opera was successfully presented on a large-scale tour of Mexico, at the Mstislav Rostropovich International Festival in Baku, the Sakharov Festival in Nizhny Novgorod, and on a tour in Sochi. The main parts are soloists of the Opera Center. The soloist of the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theater named after Zakhariya Paliashvili Irina Aleksidze was invited to perform Carmen.
