The incredibly romantic genre of serenade has long enjoyed immense popularity in Spain. Its lightness and melody have been preserved in more northern countries, as well as the time at which it was traditionally performed - evening. Over time, from a passionate love confession, the serenade turned into an instrumental piece, giving scope for the imagination of composers and listeners.
