The performance is a paradox of a little-known play, which, nevertheless, fit the whole world of Ostrovsky. The main character - official Obroshenov - is played by Konstantin Raikin. But the title heroes of four more Russian iconic plays entered into our plot: Thunderstorms, Daisies, Forests and Snow Maiden. The comedy changed the volume and went into the vast space of the Ostrovsky Theater. Here, the whole game and the jokers are absolutely everything, including the higher powers that gave the person such a complex and curious phenomenon as life, ”comments Eugene Marcelli. A poor official gives his daughter in marriage. Cash humiliation is easier for him to endure under the guise of a jester. It’s about the wedding, but on the stage there are different models of love: from happy to venal, from unrequited to tragic. The story about love and money in a colorful epic performance, whose name is Ostrovsky.
